Change your Vacation Package

So you booked a vacation package and need to change a few things – we get it. We’ll help make sure your trip goes off without a hitch. Since we currently don’t have a way for you to make changes online, you’ll have to get in touch with us. But before you do that, here’s what you need to know.

Change fees

If you booked:

  • Within the last 24 hours: You may be able to cancel and rebook for free.
  • More than 24 hours ago: Your airline, hotel, car rental company, or activity provider may charge fees that we’ll pass on to you.

Possible change costs include:

  • An airline change fee for each ticket
  • A hotel change fee
  • The difference in airfare or hotel costs (if you change to a flight or hotel that’s more expensive than the original)

Cancel your vacation package

Need to call off your trip, or just cancel part of it? We’ll help make the process as smooth as possible. Best of all, you can take care of it online.

  • More than 24 hours ago: Your airline, hotel, car rental company, or activity provider may charge fees that we’ll pass on to you.

To cancel your vacation package

Find your trip, either here or on your Trips page, and then select the booking you want. From there, select See cancel options. The rest should be pretty straightforward.

In some cases you might be able to cancel your entire vacation package otherwise you might need to cancel each part individually.

Vacation package payment options

When you book your vacation package, you can make a single payment online.

Baggage restrictions

Prepare for your flight by knowing what you can and can’t bring, both for your carry-on and checked bags.

  • Check out the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)’s information
  • Review your airline’s rules and restrictions on your itinerary. If you’re flying on multiple airlines, be sure to check each airline’s policies and fees; they may be different. If your flight is ticketed by one airline but operated by another, the ticketing airline is in charge of the baggage fees and restrictions for the entire trip.

Keep in mind that, if you’re traveling on multiple airlines or through multiple countries, you may have to retrieve your bag at the airport when you connect and recheck it with the next airline. Verify with your airline when you check it or check each airline policy for instructions.

All-inclusive hotels and resorts

Amenities and services included in an all-inclusive rate vary by hotel.

Before booking, check the hotel’s details page to confirm what amenities are included.

If you already booked, open your itinerary and select View property details to display that information.

Package Protection Plan

Things can happen and plans can change. It is for this reason that for package bookings, we offer more ways to protect your trip.

With this plan’s insurance coverage:

  • You can be reimbursed up to the total cost of your trip if you need to cancel or shorten your trip due to covered reasons.
  • You are covered for trip delays, baggage delays, loss, theft or damage to one’s baggage and personal belongings.
  • You can also be reimbursed for covered medical expenses and emergency evacuation expense if you got sick or injured during your trip.

Check in and out of your stay

Check-in

  • The check-in time and other details are available in your itinerary.
  • Contact your hotel or property manager if you want to check-in at a different time than the one specified on your itinerary. You can find the contact information on your itinerary or confirmation email.
  • The person who checks-in must be the same one who is named on the reservation. You’ll need a government-issued ID to check in.
  • If you decide not to show up for any reason, you’ll be charged based on your stay policies. Check the details in the Rules and Restrictions section in your itinerary.

Check-out

  • Review your itinerary to find out the check-out time.
  • If you need to check-out at a different time, contact the hotel or property directly. They may charge a fee for this. You can find the contact information on your itinerary or confirmation email.
